Hello Friends!
I hope you are doing well. I have been crazy busy with work and school. I really wish there were more hours in the day! I have so many things I want to do and no time!! I know you all know how that feels! I am in a transitional period in my life, currently. I can go in so many directions but I  cannot quit school. It is a goal I set for myself, however, I am not sure I want to even continue with that path. I was interested in substance abuse counseling but I'm thinking if I do finish my schooling I will feel very accomplished but is this what I want to do with my life? I feel I am re-thinking this because I have been in the beauty business for so many years and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. The problem is  I cannot for the life of me transition into a different work force. Everyone is looking for experience in the field. Well I do have a lot of experience managing but not in the "new" field. It has been so difficult for me to find a new career. This leads me to believe it's not the correct path to take. I have, over the past 5 years, fallen in love with photoshop and making beauty tutorials for youtube. I wish more than anything in life that this was my job! I wish so badly that I had taken graphic design and website design and build. This would have been a dream job for me. But as I always believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason. So I am now just going stay positive and keep following my path. I hope you all are following your path and I will talk to you all soon.

Learn how to Cut Texture into your Hair & Bye Bye split ends

You will love my new hair cutting video if you are brave enough to cut into your heavy hair. I noticed my hair was getting slightly triangular shaped and heavy. So I decided to cut into it so that it would be more textured. I also found split ends, so I show you how to get rid of them because if you do not cut them your strands will get split all the way up & your hair will appear unhealthy.

Hello Friends!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! It's Sunday and tomorrow is back to school! I really mean back to school because this week my kids were out sick. Thank God they are better. It's been raining for 3 days and I really don't mean to be negative because I know it's a blessing when it rains, BUT, it is so dreary out I really become affected  by this weather. Not to mention it kills my back....

On a brighter note, I wish I knew those of you that live near me. I am trying to get some classes together for those of you that are interested in learning how to cut or style hair, or your family. It really is a good thing to know how to trim your hair or trim your kid's hair when you don't have a lot of time or money or you just don't feel like leaving the house. Also, when you know how to style your hair for your last minute night out and your stylist doesn't have an opening, you can still leave the house  looking your best! The ZigZag Parting

I know styles come and go and I've been waiting for the ZigZag parting to come around again. I know, I feel old, haha!  But when I saw the Hair from some of the designers for Spring/Summer 2015 I saw the zigzag parting. I was so happy! Of course when it comes around again the look is always a little different. This time the parting is a lot deeper, meaning going from one side to the other. I will say, if you are going to use this parting, part your hair first then add in any styling product or it will be too difficult to add in after it is styled.  (for curly look. for straight hair you can do it after the hair is dry, but before hair spray) Tomorrow I am going to try this with straight hair, but if you watch the video below this is how it will look on curled, textured hair. Can't wait for the Spring. I am so over the cold!!

It's January 2014!!

Hello Friends,

I hope you all are having a wonderful start to this new year. This year is a year for major changes in my life. Some things that are different is this website. Selling makeup just did not cut it on here. As much as I love makeup I cannot compete with Sephora! (I heart them too!) So I thought and thought what could this website be used for if not for makeup? Well why not things that I enjoy doing that may interest others. People always need logos or art work for their companies or websites & I enjoy coming up with the artwork.

Another change that I made this year is to change my major from elementary education to substance abuse counseling. This is what I wanted to do to begin with. I love learning and as much as I love doing hair & makeup, my back is getting worse instead of better. (Due to an automobile accident, I was hit from behind by a police officer!)
